Eric van der Burg (VVD) vroeg dit aan omdat hij de vraag "wat vinden wij als gemeenteraad de juiste verhouding tussen openbare orde en vrijheid van meningsuiting?" beantwoord wil hebben. Hopelijk verandert hierdoor de huidige opstelling van de raad, het stadsbestuur en uiteindelijk het handelen van de politie.
